  • Today's Dream Tomorrow's Future operates under the direction of the area's most dynamic and innovative leaders in non-profit management, business, education and public policy, with a significant emphasis on developing relationships to create a shared leadership and governance system that builds upon the strengths and commitments of its staff, volunteers, and community partners. Our core operation is centered around attracting staff with dedication to the communities they serve. Most of our staff live in Maryland and are geographically and culturally rooted to the community where they work.

    Cynthia Edwards

    President and CEO

    Edwards, recognized by her peers as "The Believer", dedicated her life and work to helping those in need. The Washington native attributes her passion for people to a family that valued faith, hard work and volunteerism. During her tenure she has been relentless in providing resources, training and cultivating partnerships to transition populations out of poverty. She brings over 15 years of experience and education from the federal government and non-profit sector. Her area of expertise is training and consulting for national non-profits with a focus on program development, capacity building, planning and evaluation on the federal level. She has a proven track record of building strong corporate and community relationships. Her role is overseeing the organization's programs, fiscal management and community partnerships. She is also responsible for fund development, grant writing and compliance.

    Robert Jackson

    Executive Director

    Jackson brings over 30 years of financial management experience across a broad range of corporations and educational institutions. His professional experience includes housing, community and economic development programs with a strong emphasis on human capital management, project management, accounting and financial services. He is responsible for supporting program operations and staff development.

    Pamela Wilson-Spencer

    Community Outreach/Faith Based Liaison

    Wilson-Spencer, President of Uplifting Hands Faith Based Collaborative brings a wealth of experience in human service delivery and communications. Her educational background is in computer science and she serves as model for young women breaking down barriers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics fields. She can be best described as the “jack of all trades” because of her tireless dedication to all aspects of the daily operation of the organization. She specializes in promoting partnerships with faith based organizations, churches and small businesses and community outreach.

    Evelyn Busey

    Program Assistant

    Busey has worked for the federal government and social service organizations for over 20 years, providing case management, human resource management, and direct service for youth with intellectual disabilities. She is passionate about working with families that have limited resources helping them attain higher education, career exploration and housing opportunities. She serves in a capacity supporting community and corporate partnerships, events, and outreach.
